Kawasaki Glasses

I am going to treat myself to some new glasses soon. I have had my pair for a very long time and I think it is about time that I got something on trend. I have been looking around and have seen some Kawasaki glasses that I thought looked rather cool but I was not sure that they suited me really. It woudl be nice to have them but I do not want something that changes the way that I look too dramatically. I was thinking that the Silhouette glasses might be better because they are more like the style that I have already, but they are more modern looking.

I also want to get some designer sunglasses with my prescription in the lenses. I will need a new pair as my prescription has changed and it only seems right to change both especially as I sometimes change them when I am driving and do not have time for my eyes to adjust to the different strength of lens and so it is very dangerous. It will be nice to have a new cool pair as well, I love wearing sunglasses but obviously cannot see out of normal ones and so cannot keep changing the style of the ones that I wear which is a bit annoying,

Garmin GPSs

With the credit crunch I have started to become a lot more careful with what I am spending my money on. I have decided that I need to get a new garmin but deciding on which one is pretty tricky. I do not want to spend an unnecessary amount of money but I do want one that I will not have to replace very quickly. I lost my Garmin 96 and so if I am likely to lose the next one I buy then it would make sense to go for a cheaper model. However, if I do not lose it, which is likely as I do not often lose things, then it might be better to get one with more features.

This would mean that I would not need to upgrade it so quickly. Something like the Garmin 496 could be good as I think it looks cool as well as having great features. However, there are others which I think probably give better value for money and so I have also been considering the Garmin 296 as well. It is a tricky decision and I expect it will take me several more days research before I make up my mind.

Lots of Parties

I seem to be getting so many invitations at the moment. I love going out to places but sometimes wonder how, in this time of economic crisis, how people can afford to have parties and celebrations. I am not begrudging them, I mean it is nice to have something else to think about rather than the state of the world economy and one`s own bank balance but by throwing a party you are likely to be worrying about it even more in the future. I have received two party invitations just this week and I am worrying about the expense of buying a present and a new outfit – goodness know how the people throwing the party will afford everything that they will need.

I guess I should just decide to enjoy it and not worry about that sort of thing for them. I am hoping that I can get a new outfit that will suit both of these parties. I have also received a graduation invitation and if I decide to go, I am hoping that it will be suitable for that as well. Goodness there is so much going on lately and so much socialising to do, it should be great fun!

Classy Gifts

I am looking for some artists gifts for my Father for his birthday. I am not sure exactly what to get him but I am hoping to broaden his experience of art by buying some things that he has not used before. I thought that some stretched canvas might be a good idea as he does not have any. Then I was wondering whether he might like some new materials or paper or whether something else might suit.

I called my Mum to discuss it with her. She reminded me that I would need to get some stretcher bars to help with the canvas which is something that I had forgotten about. In the end we agreed to meet up so that she could come with me in order to help me to choose the right things. She said that she would be looking at the portfolio cases anyway as she was going to be buying him one for his birthday and wanted to see what sort of things were available. It should be great fun, we have not been on a shopping trip together for quite a while and we will make a whole day of it and have some lunch out too, I am looking forward to it!

Baby Shower Preparations

I am planning a baby shower at the moment and it is such good fun. My sister has just had a baby after a long time of trying and she is such a little special bundle. It feels like we really need to make it a lovely party as it is likely to be her only baby and so we will not get the chance again. I am therefore making a massive effort and buying baby shower decorations and everything.

I have asked her who she would like me to invite and everyone is coming which is excellent. I have decided to keep everything to a baby theme and so I have a lovely selection of baby shower cakes to serve along with sandwiches which I am going to cut into shapes with a cake cutter that I bought that is in a baby shape which I think is adorable! I have just got to think of a gift for the baby and then I will be all done apart from picking up my baby shower favors when I am next in town. I am so looking forward to it – it will be so nice seeing my sister and her family being the centre of attention after all of their problems.

Current Economic Problems

Many people are blaming the current economic problems on the easy availability of credit. One of the ways of getting this is through plastic cards, or carte plastique in Fench. We probably all have them – credit cards and debit cards as well as store cards. It is pretty easy to get one of these cards these days. Imagine if you got one for every store that you shopped at and had a credit card as well. You could easily spend lots of money and you may not even know how much as it is much harder to keep track when you spend it on a card.

Imagine only paying back the minimum balance each month and then spending more and more on the PVC cards, or PVC karte in Germany, until there was no more money left to spend on them. You would be left owing a lot of money and it would be really hard to pay it back and would take a very long time. Imagine if you lost your job then you would be in real trouble and would not be able to make the payments. This is probably a situation that a lot of people are in and unfortunately it seems to be getting more and more common at the moment.
